One of the key roles of public health is the prevention and control of diseases. Vaccination programs 💉 have played a critical role in eradicating or significantly reducing diseases such as polio, measles, and smallpox. In addition, initiatives that encourage hand hygiene 🧼, sanitation 🚰, and access to clean water have drastically decreased the spread of infectious diseases worldwide.
